I recommend a long hike through Odderoya which offers great views over the sea and isles, beside beacons and bunkers. The Kanonmuseum is some kilometers outside of Kristiansand and offers also some longer walks beside the visit of the big gun.

I was quite pleased with everything at this hotel. The receptionist was very helpful at check-in, particularly as the tourist office was closed, and she gave me useful local information. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, and provided in a large, relaxed room. The hotel also had a small but well-equipped fitness room, which was appreciated.

Perfect location (1 min to the shopping street, 5min to the harbour, so really centrally located), room was equipped with everything you need (hairdryer, shower gel, shampoo), bed was comfortable. The breakfast (which is always included in the reservation) offered great variety for every taste, even for people with allergies.
